Wouldn't be surprised to see 3 of your 5 predictions come true.

34 is definitely not old

All Dad's think they are cool, and all kids think their Dad's aren't. It's just the facts of life.

I would wait to see if Panarin can replicate last year's performance before going to the negotiating table.

Mcdavid & Hall are the point leaders + Edmonton #1 in the west?? Lol same poop prediction every year.

There's a better chance of Mcdavids career slowing down like the rest of the #1 picks.

Trouba will be in a Jets uniform come November 1st. He will fall in line just like all oher recent players asking for trades. the Jets will sign him to bridge deal and trade him at some pint within a year when the right deal is presented. He is playing poker with Chevy and he will lose, he will want to be signed by December first cause he wont want to sit all year. He will also not go to europe or russia, this is a kid who's trying to get traded closer to home so to think he'll go across the world for a year, I doubt it. Players need to stay away from this agent, he pulls this crap all the time.

I agree, why be in a rush to pay guys, especially when the team is awash in ridiculous contracts already.

1. McDavid Wins Scoring Tile.

2. Taylor Hall comes in second.

3. Flyers are a good team; make playoffs.

4. Blackhawks Miss Playoffs.

5. Edmonton wins the West.

1- Crosby wins the scoring title
2- Hall has little support in NJ so he won't finish 2nd
3- If they stay healthy they have a chance
4 - No way Ose
5- No way Ose

I say you go 0/5....and best case scenario is 1/5

Tanner, I need you to look deeper into your crystal ball and to tell me if you see an Ivan Provorov and Travis Konecny on this good playoff flyers team.

There's a very very good chance that you badly miss on 4/5 predictions

But I still love the effort

Generally very interested in best on best international hockey. But I actually chose to finish some extra homework rather than tune in to the end of the game.

I could see Chicago missing the playoffs. Don't forget that LA missed the playoffs once two years ago.

Predictions, huh?

Why I Personally Guarantee the Oilers Will Make the Playoffs
AUGUST 29TH, 2014 BY JAMES TANNER

First of all, I feel the Oilers may have broken out a year ago if not for some bad luck. Their goalie went south, Yakupov fell victim to the sophomore slump, Gagner (since moved) had his jaw broken and wasn’t the same player when he returned, Schultz had a rough second year, Eberle wasn’t the same and RNH had a bum shoulder all year.

To me, that’s a lot of bad luck. This year the Oilers should be better just because it’d be rare to be so unlucky twice in a row. I like the additions of Victor Fasth in net and Teddy Purcell on the wing. The defense should improve because Shultz will be better, Klemfbom will be better and Nurse should make the team and make an impact as a rookie.

Yakupov is another intriguing player. The former first overall pick will be twice, even thrice, the player he was last season. His talent is off the charts and if he improves it will be like adding a star player to the lineup for nothing. Yakupov scored only 11 goals last year and I see no reason he can’t score at least 30 this year.

Where Will the Oilers Finish in 2015-16?
AUGUST 10TH, 2015 BY JAMES TANNER

Conclusion

The question shouldn’t be “will they make the Playoffs next seasons,” because that is a certainty. The question is “how long before they win the Cup?” I don’t think it will be next season, but if the over/under is three seasons from now, I’ll take the under.
